Fennel?!

Anyone avoid fennel when pregnant? I was looking on the internet and it said this was a herb/plant to avoid. However it's not on the NHS website regarding food and that's usually what I limit my attention to (as I tend to get a bit over-anxious otherwise!). SIL is doing a lamb dish with lots of fennel (apparently) Easter lunch and I'm on the early days of pregnancy so not telling anyone yet.. not sure if I need to avoid it.

I actively drank fennel for my morning sickness! What is the source of the information to avoid?

Right, I've now found more pages saying it is ok, and as you say, people talking about fennel tea for morning sickness.

This is my original source:
www.google.co.uk/amp/www.momjunction.com/articles/fennel-seeds-during-pregnancy_00392798/%3famp=1

If that doesn't work I googled fennel and pregnancy and clicked the momjunction link (top for me)

Fennel is quite common in Indian and Asian cooking so I doubt it's really problem.

Stick with the NHS list or you'll just find a heap of conflicting information and any and every food you can think of will be on the no go list!

Thank you! Voice of reason :-)
