SPD and plane travel

I am going to the GP tomorrow because I’m pretty sure I’ve got SPD or similar, I’m in a great deal of pain from minimal activity and I’m only 25 weeks. It’s in my hips and lower back mainly. We have a holiday booked to Crete when I’m 32 weeks and I’m worried that I won’t be allowed to go/fly if I get diagnosed! Anyone got any advice/experience of travelling with SPD? Would it affect travel insurance?

No reason you can’t fly with SPD as it’s not going to cause any complications but it’ll be bloody uncomfortable on the plane.

Yes, not looking forward to the actual travel! But I’m hoping a week of relaxing and being in the pool will help! Going with family so I won’t have to do much running about with DS.

Try a serola belt.

I flew at 28 weeks and have a very unstable Si joint (even when not pregnant). I use a serola belt whenever I need to travel any distance longer than 15 mins or sitting for any length of time.

Other options are a v large tubi grip.
