Hello Ladies,

I have been TTC from 3 years. my AF was due on 18-Mar-18 but on 19th morning I got my periods which started slowly and started heavily in the evening, continued the 2nd day and on 3rd day stopped with only faint spots. What I noticed differently this time is
1)I didnt have PMS symptom which usually will start after ovulation with a very painful boobs and will be gone when my period starts. This time it was only light pain for 2-3 days before AF.
2) The period was just watery with pink, brown and red. no clots at all. 3) My period was only 1.5 to 2 days and usually it will be 3 full days with heavy bleeding and clots.
4) other symptoms like Nausea, frequent urination, very hungry.

Today I have severe headache, slight nausea, frequent urination and feeling hungry all the time. But no sore breasts, no food craving or no other pregnancy symptoms.
I took a pregnancy test on 22-Mar which AF+4 days but it came negative. not even a faint line. Should I have some hopes and test on 29-Mar which is 10 days after the AF. As I tested with cheap online kit, should I test with some good kit? Please suggest.

Sorry but I think it is unlikely that you are pregnant from what you have said. By all means test again in a few days though if you still feel there is a chance. Good luck, I hope it happens soon Thanks

It sounds more like you didn't ovulate this month than that you are pregnant, tbh. It's common to occasionally have an anovulatory month. No harm testing again in a week or so but it sounds like you did have your period, just lighter than usual, and it'll probably go back to normal next month.

@Bluebirdsky... Thank you very much.
@QueenAravisOfArchenland, Sad to know. Sometimes such normal and natural thing seems so complicated. I have the perfect period cycle, all tests are normal, perfect ovulation(earlier when I had done 2 cycles of follicular study). Infact doctor was amazed and told that all tests are perfect and my cycles are perfect with 26-28 days cycle always but still hard time getting successful :(. Doc said its called unexplained infertility.

Only thing I can think of is PCOS. I have insulin resistance and PCOS symptoms so that may be the reason.

Anyways I should keep trying. No other choice.

Thanks.

Have you been referred to any specialists?

Simran1 · 26/03/2018 18:23

Gyn told me to consult Fertility specialist and the specialist told me to go for IUI and IVF. This was like 2 years back. But then I had dropped and after 4 months I was pregnant without any medical help. But the sad thing was there was no cardiac activity so it had to be aborted.
After that I had hope that without medical help I can get pregnant so since 1.5 years I am trying naturally with just folic acid tablet.

And for PCOS, I have the symptoms from around 7 years but I consulted many doctors but they said my periods are regular so no need to worry about PCOS. But very recently like 2 months back, my new gyn confirmed PCOS and referred me to a doctor. I have not been able to consult for PCOS yet.

I'm so sorry for all you've been through. I hope you get support and treatment soon

My friend went into Metformin for insulin resistance and PCOS and then she conceived quite quickly afterwards.
