I'm 25 weeks pregnant, I had a gum abscess that burst yesterday, managed to get a dentist appointment and have antibiotics which have now been in for 24 hours, I am suffering with flu like symptoms (weakness, lack of energy, feeling sick and a fever) the fever worries me as I have chills and am burning up, I'm worried about baby, I am worried the infection has spread into bloodsteam, any one have any ideas?

I think fever is most dangerous in the first trimester and less of a concern after. In the second and third trimester, your average body temperature increases to 37. 5 anyway. Saying that, I'd still call the pregnancy assessment unit if I were you. Feel better soon x
