Spritz for bitz

Hi all,

DH has been having a look around for things for me post birth and has suggested the my expert midwife range. Specifically spritz for bitz. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the range? Is spritz for bitz any good? Would you buy it alone or the whole Mum to be set? Or do you have any other suggestions of products.

I've not used that, but I did use witch hazel after I had my daughter and found that my episiotomy healed quite quickly. It was just generic stuff so quite cheap! What else is in the "expert midwife" range?

I guess when you say witch hazel worked well for you it makes me question the price tag attached to these products! There’s a nipple cream, stretch mark cream and perennial massage oil too. I’ve already been gifted a bloom and blossom nipple cream (I’m in love with their other products too) but DH likes the idea of a ‘new Mum’ gift but I just question if the price is justifiable. If someone has had a really positive experience with this or another range it’d be good to hear

I really liked the spritz for bitz although I ended up with an EMCS so used it on my scar rather than my bitz! It was nice and cooling.

The perineum massage oil was ok but turned out to be a bit redundant due to the EMCS.

The stretch mark oil was so so - I wasn't keen on the smell but loved the pump dispenser and it went on well and was absorbed fairly quickly. Better than Bio Oil which I have never got on with as it just sits on my skin so I'm oily for ages.
(My preferred products for stretch marks were Burts Bees Mama Bee, Mamma Mio tummy butter plus Palmers cocoa butter)

LOVED the nipple balm - much easier than Lansinoh to apply due to pump dispenser and texture.

Brill! I might suggest he gets the 2 products rather than the whole bundle- it’s most unlike him being this thoughtful so I don’t want to derail him too much 😂 it’s just a bit on the pricey side

They probably are overpriced, but lots of "luxury" type things are and there's no harm in a treat! I've heard that stretch marks are genetic so what you put on your stomach etc is just down to preference but if something feels nice then go for it! As far as nipple cream goes though, lansinoh seems to be the most popular. And tea tree oil in the bath was a good healer too.
