It's normal. I believe the technical medical term for it is 'the fanny daggers'.

@pastabest 😂😂😂 ok...I'll google that one! Thank you 😊 weirdest feeling! I'm totally paranoid about any weird new feeling! No idea what any of it is sposed to be, still curious what this round ligament pain is sposed to feel like....

At 13 weeks it'll most likely just be things stretching and moving about especially if it's your first baby. If it's very painful and persistent though do get checked out. Stetchy aches and pains are normal, severe pain isn't.

Ah yes, Fanny Daggers. These little delights come normally later on in the third trimester - it's also known as 'lightening crotch'. Feels like you've sat on a dagger Confused

I’m 17 weeks and have had this on and off for a week or so now. I’m definitely developing SPD and it seems to be related to that as it’s worse in certain positions so I think it’s muscular/ligament related.

I have fanny daggers! Glad to know there's a technical term for it. I'm 10 weeks and it's just started in the past few days.

I've gotten growing pains throughout pregnancy, most prominently in the late part of the first trimester and during most of the second. In the third trimester I've gotten what someone else described as fanny daggers.

As long as there isn't vaginal bleeding going with it or the pain isn't making you double over, I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Also, if you haven't already you might want to download a pregnancy app. The week by week updates on what baby and you might be experiencing were really helpful to me in easing my mind.

I downloaded 3 pregnancy apps when I was at 10 weeks but 'Ovia Pregnancy' app is the only one of them I've used throughout the whole pregnancy.

Ligaments - it's fine albeit a bit ouchy
