Sugar cravings

Hi everyone,

Does anyone else have intense sugar cravings during pregnancy? I just want chocolate or sweets all the time! And I'm feeling really guilty for giving into these cravings, as I want to give my baby as many healthy foods and nutrients as possible.

Anyone else going through this?!

I am 17wks and been eating crap from the start. I had bad sickness so crap was all I wanted. I am also eating lots of sweet things. Have a thing for jelly babies lol.

I made Christmas biscuits from scratch yesterday because I was craving them so badly. They had to be a very specific kind (buttery shortcrust with strawberry jam filling). Pre-pregnancy I barely ate anything sugary at all.

Lots of sweet cravings here as well. Just make sure you eat plenty of good stuff as well as giving into your cravings. Then you don't have to feel guilty about that tub of Ben and jerrys Grin

I was the same, and never ate a lot of sweet stuff pre-pregnancy!

Then I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes 😢 4 1/2 weeks and counting til I can eat soooo much sweet stuff again!
