Harmony test at 10 weeks, what happens if they need to retest?

I had my harmony test today. Date wise I'm 10 weeks, scan dates say 10w 5.

We forgot to ask, if they need to retest because it's too early do they charge again?

Has anyone else had it at 10 weeks and needed to retest?

Tia 🙂

Hi Tia,

I had a Harmony at 10+1 and the scan also showed 10+5. They didn't need to re-test, so hopefully you'll be fine. I didn't get the impression they would charge again if they needed to re-test either. It's such an expensive test - I'd be so shocked if that was the case.

I had my Harmony blood draw done at 10+5, I got a call from the company four working days later saying that there wasn't enough fetal DNA in the sample and I'd need to come back for a redraw, which needed to be at least one week after the original sample was taken. I didn't get charged for this, but it may depend on the company you've gone through to get the test done.
