When will I get date for ELCS?

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and seeing the consultant next week at 28 weeks.

I'm just wondering when you guys booked your ELCS in? It'd be great for us to know ASAP as we have a 3yo DS and family would have to travel down and stay to look after him.

Mine was booked at my 36 week consultant app for 39+1

In my trust the date is set at a 36 week consultant appointment, aiming for as late as possible in week 39. I would suggest getting family to pencil in the whole of that week.

Depends on set up - our trust they are booked any time after 28 weeks. It will be week 39 though so a fairly narrow window!

Each hospital/trust is different. Ours gives you the date at 20 weeks

Ours does elective sections on 2 days of the week and they try to aim for the 39th week but I didn't get a confirmed date until I think 36 weeks when I had a growth scan and consultant talk.
Ask them to plan around the 39th week but perhaps have some contingency plan. It would be good to have anyway just incase you go into labour early

Mine was booked at 36 weeks for 38+2.

I have a consultant appointment at 36 weeks to discuss this and I thought this seemed really late! But happy to hear that others have had theirs booked then.

Mine was booked in when I was 29 weeks (although would've been 28 weeks but I had to postpone the appointment) for 39+1.
