Did anyone start to feel different at 13 weeks? Ive never felt so awful so far. . I didnt get morning sickness in my first trimester after worrying like mad my scan was fine and quite amazing. But i got woken today at 6am with horrendous aches in my tummy for about an hour went to the loo no blood went back to bed and they eased off but left me feeling different somehow. I rang the midwife she said after the usual checks that its probably the baby growing up and out slightly. And now my ribs and back are hurting?? Being my first pregnancy i have no idea my stretching cramps stopped at 7 weeks. This was only a really awful ache rather than pain or cramp. But it im shattered after all these things today. Im hoping tomorrow everything will settle again!

I am 13 weeks and today was just remarking on how tight my back muscles are! Remembered this from my first pregnancy when I suddenly had a NEED to do yoga (hadn't been as so wiped on in first trimester). I assume it'a everything shifting and moving.

Really? I havent even been told what excercises are safe to do they just say gentle. I feel really unwell like just blurgh if I go for a walk i start out fine then i need to go home as i just dont have the energy. And the twinges and aches and back aches!!

Could you be constipated? It's very common in pregnancy

Molly33 · 21/03/2018 21:16

I have been now you mention it very!! I had apple juice yesterdsy alot of it and managed to go a few times in the day for the first time in a while. But to be honest i havent gone today so it may be possible that im still constipated.

Tmi now but a few times before while not pregnant I've got awful stomach pains and felt sick only to be relieved as soon as I went to the toilet. If you overload on fibre to prevent it it can be too much for the system too. Maybe try adding it gradually to your diet. And a gentle walk can get things moving a bit too and plenty of water.

Thanks i will try the excercise i find that ive done everything but nothing seems to have worked so far but i need to to excercise more even if its walking as latley im so tired i stop and just go home.. I dont eat enough fruit either i eat veg just never keen on fruit. So might have too!

I feel your pain. I'm 12 weeks and I had the weirdest pains yesterday. My back around the ribcage hurt really badly for about half an hour and then the pain started moving down to my bowels. It then clearly felt like trapped winds but as it was so high to begin with, I initially couldn't figure out what it was. Totally went away after I'd been to the loo.
This was the second time I had a tummy upset after I'd eaten something really veg-heavy. The first time I'd made gnocchi with loads of veggies and I was up all night feeling dreadful with stomach pains and queasiness. The second time I had a veggie stew. Too much fibre in one go I presume. Back to stodgy food it is for me for now.
As has been said, exercise does ease these things a little and can help with keeping your digestion ticking over. If you're too exhausted to do proper exercise or go for a longer walk, just walk for as long as you're comfortable and then do some stretches at home. All that matters is that you don't become a total couch potato.

Yeah that feels like what ive become latley is a couch potato when i go for walks i just feel wiped. I might start using my wii fit. Im constipated again but my stomachs hurting on amd off still the midwife said they will do a scan tomorrow as they said even though it sounds like growing pains its best to be safe. My diet is balanced as can be i think. Im just trying to drink plenty of water i swear in a week i feel like ive grown loads.. Im only a small frame so my mum thinks that's why im feeling it all a bit more.
