So I have an appointment with a community midwife on Friday then the 12 week one is end of April, which one will include needles? I thought I had another month to prepare (I have a phobia) but it could be the earlier one Sad

She's likely to want to do some routine blood tests at your first appointment - mine did, just so they're out of the way, so I would expect the Friday appointment to include needles.

Your first appointment (the booking appointment) will likely involve a blood test.

Then at your 12 weeks scan they do a blood test for downs syndrome testing.

However you can request both are fine at the 12 weeks scan if you are nervous of needless.

For me it was both. Booking bloods for iron levels, immunity to stuff etc and after my 12 scan for Down Syndrome testing.

Then again at 28 weeks for the iron levels, antibodies and stuff again I think.

Mine was same as Dinosaur above.
