Early pregnancy

Hi everyone I am new to this site! I have just found out I am pregnant yesterday! I have been wanting a baby for so long and decided to come off my pill in January! Didn't expect it to happen so soon! Still in shock!

Is anyone else in these early stages? I have booked in an appointment with a midwife end of April! Seems so long away I can't wait that long!

I am currently 8 weeks + 3 and had my booking in appointment on Monday. It seemed to take ages to come round! I am not waiting on an appointment for my first scan which could be another 5 weeks!! Everything seems to be a long wait at the start and really drags haha.

Hi what happened in your booking in appointment?? I can't believe mine is so far away! I'm so worried don't know what to expect apart from stock up on vitamins haha! How are you feeling?

Basically it's mainly form filling, blood test (she couldn't take any blood, I don't like giving things away, so I have to go back tomorrow to see the nurse) and she takes your height & weight measurements. Partner came with me but there is really no need if you know his name, address and any medical history in his family.

The first thing I did when I found out was buy multi vitamins. I've been taking the seven seas ones.

I felt fine until week 6, then the morning sickness started! Only been sick twice but the nausea has been pretty bad. I've been eating a ginger biscuit as soon as I wake up, not the best thing but seemed to help. It's just starting to pass now. Boobs were killing from day of missing first period, and have recently been getting hard/growing. That's about all the symptoms I've had really so far!

Lovely v informative thank you! I just bought some pregnacare stuff! Had to get medicine as can't take tablets (don't know how I'm going to get through the next 9 months lol)

God I hope I don't get morning sickness I hate being sick!!
