Eczema in pregnancy

I had bad eczema as a teenager which cleared up post puberty but has returned with a vengeance now I'm pregnant (yay hormones). It's worst on my eyelids, jawline and neck, so lovely and visible to all!

My question is - for those who've also had a flare up during pregnancy, did it calm down again after the birth? After breastfeeding? Ever?!

38 weeks now and tired of feeling permanently itchy!

Pregnancy kicked mine off again, it's slowly getting better three years post pregnancy. I've now started using urea cream, and it's been brilliant for it, the one I have is called udderly smooth moisturising cream I think, got it from amazon

MIne got horrendous during pregnancy but cleared up after birth and even now nearly 9 months on and breastfeeding it still drier in places but not itchy/ raw/ scabby

mine's horrible (am 15w), weirdly, it came back when I stopped breastfeeding last summer. Hoping bf will help again this time as mine is anxiety-related, and I found bfing very relaxing.

Ha I was going to ask about this thanks OP my teenage eczema has come back around my mouth and in my joints, I'm using the cream again to calm it down but I'm glad to hear it might go after the baby arrives ! Thanks

Thanks all for the responses - sounds like a mixed bag then whether it clears up after the birth! Will have to keep my fingers crossed... and at least post pregnancy I can start using stronger medication for it again.

I've had this flare up on my eye lids and now I can see it's spreading a bit. I've never had eczema before, at first I just thought it was from the cold!
