Gush of water at 27 weeks? Not amniotic fluid

Hi all
Had a bit of a scare today. Had a gush of water come out about 3pm, it deffo wasn’t wee! Seen by midwife at 6pm, had urine check, blood pressure check, baby’s heartbeat checked and my first internal exam (I’m bleeding from it but she said this will probably happen) and amniotic fluid test which was negative... they’ve said it’s mosf likely just discharge but I’ve never had a feeling like that before and haven’t had discharge that was literally just water. Anyone else had this before? X

Yes i was sent to get tested to see if amniotic fluid was leaking at 22 weeks. It was negative and i gave birth at 41 weeks. They broke my waters during labour to speed things up. It must have been discharge.

I had this in my last pregnancy- it turned out to be a nasty case of BV! It may be worth asking for a swab just incase.

Going to mention it to the midwife I see her again next week. Just a bit worried Cos the woman warned me I had some sort of raw skin on my cervix (someone will remember the name I can’t!) so she said the swab will have irritated it and I’ll bleed slightly. Well I bled heavier than expected last night, haven’t overnight but had some
Blood clots this morning. Hmm

I remember having something similar and it was not amniotic fluid so must have been discharge. Good luck!
