Infection in blood

I've had the results of my blood tests this morning and she said that it showed an infection in blood. She's given me antibiotics and need to repeat the tests in a week. She asked if I had been ill with a cold or flu or had a water infection. None of which I have had. Has anyone else had this? I'm worried now that it's going to affect the baby somehow.

My blood shows infection markers all the time. Most of the time I feel perfectly well and its normally a bug I picked up from my DC, could be anything from ear infection to slight cold. I have always taken the antibiotics and all had been clear when I had repeat bloods done. I think I just have shoddy blood that likes the attention.

They can't say for certain what the infection is just that its there. I hope all is clear on next blood test.
