Sleeping propped up

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, terrible spd.
Cannot lay on my side as I get cramps in my hip to my toe on whatever side I am laying on. A pillow in between my legs makes no difference, unless I can learn to float this is a complete no go for me.
I want to sleep propped up but have been frightened in to thinking I will cut the blood flow from baby and he will die!
I can't sleep sat up, it's impossible, I've tried.
But is propped up a little bit ok?
Did anyone else sleep like that?
I'm so tired! 😭

I’m sorry. I’m only 22 weeks and I have no experience. I would check with your midwife maybe.
Sounds exhausting!! Poor you.

I slept propped up. I figured I lounge on the sofa in that sort of position during the day anyway. Baby was fine.

Same here I have had to sleep propped up due to sped and bad heartburn I figured I sit up all day and I also propped myself up on the sofa a lot so must be ok. I am 40+2 and my little one seems to be doing ok in there so doesn't seem to have caused any problems.

My mum likes me remind me that she had to sleep propped up throughout her whole pregnancy not only when she was pregnant with me, but also with my two siblings. We're all fine!

I asked my midwife about sleeping positions as I really struggle to sleep on my left due to breathing difficulties and she said that although left / side sleeping is preferred, ultimately the most important thing is that you get some sleep no matter what the position is.
Hope you manage to get some rest soon x
