Anemia?

I was wondering if anyone who have previously been anaemic in pregnancy could articulate what it felt like?

Previously been deficient in B12 and vitamin D and taken supplement and had the injections for this.

I'm currently 19w + 2 and have been having funny turns where my chest is tight, feel short of breath, sick and dizzy. I've also felt extremely tired. I've been off work sick for the past two weeks awaiting a blood test and ECG via the GP. Had this done Friday so results will be back Wednesday. I mentioned it to my consultant last Monday but he said "doesn't sound pregnancy related" although I've only had it during the last 8 weeks or so Hmm

I've not been doing anything strenuous at home except pottering about and cleaning lightly. Yesterday I met my friend for three hours for a catch up (sitting drinking tea and eating cake) and my partner picked me up but I felt like I'd ran a marathon and got straight into bed. I got about 10 hours sleep last night and woke up feeling just as tired and got really emotional. Blush

Anyone else felt like this and was anaemic?

My iron was low on a recent blood test (this was at 27 weeks - I have regular bloods done as high risk pregnancy). I wasn't aware of any symptoms and couldn't have told you anything was up. Only weird thing which struck me subsequently was that I have been craving watercress and eating it by the bagful. So maybe that was related to the iron deficiency.
