If a woman had sex with a guy one day before ovulation and sex with another on the day of ovulation. Who is most likely the dad?

No way to tell. DNA test needed.

Why do you ask?

Whitelisbon · 18/03/2018 09:15

One of them.
Unless you do a DNA test you'll never know, sorry op.

Squirrelpatrol2174 · 18/03/2018 09:15

Could be either tbh. More likely the first probably though.

PurpleDaisies · 18/03/2018 09:15

More likely the first probably though.

On what basis?

lookingforaline18 · 18/03/2018 09:16

I would say more likely to be the first.

Squirrelpatrol2174 · 18/03/2018 09:17

The first man's sperm will be there first Confused

lookingforaline18 · 18/03/2018 09:17

I thought it would be because the sperm would already be there to meet the egg when the op ovulated. I'm only guessing though.

I read ‘Sperm Wars’ the book, (twice) so I’m the expert ; )

Nobody knows. There is no way of corfirming it at all without a dna test.
There is so much going on, it’s actually amazing.

Celebelly · 18/03/2018 09:26

Impossible to tell.

BergamotMouse · 18/03/2018 09:27

What are you basing ovulation on? Positive OPK? As that just tells you you will ovulate in he next 12-72 hours. Or temping? That will tell you when ovulation occurred.

3luckystars · 18/03/2018 09:29

In theory from the Sperm Wars book (me being an expert now) if one was your long term partner and the other was a once off, there are different amounts (with the new guy giving a lot more) and there can be a war between them. It’s actually a great book, but I doubt you are interested in books now.

I hope you are alright anyway.

Not necessarily. It depends when the egg is released relative to the second sex taking place. Sperm can reach the egg in 30 minutes.

It’s irresponsible to try and predict who the father is in this situation because they’re so close together.

carnassials · 18/03/2018 11:27

Impossible to tell, the first guy could have low sperm motility for example.

FranticallyPeaceful · 18/03/2018 11:33

Must read sperm ears now
