As the title says ladies & gents ..
my back has been killing me all day but a couple of hours ago I started getting a sharp stabbing pain in my right bum cheek/hip. Since then I can't walk if I put any pressure on it it gives way! I'm 26 weeks pregnant with polyhydramnios x

Sounds like it could be sciatica or pelvic girdle pain.
I've had a mild case since 25 weeks thats mainly caused pain in my hips and legs. I'm now 35 weeks and won't lie its gradually gotten worse.

If its bad you should tell your midwife or GP who will refer you for physio. I would do this sooner rather than later as theres often a waiting list for treatment.

In the meantime make sure that you keep the legs and hips active (but nothing too strenuous) and make sure you don't stand, sit or lie in the same position for too long. I find a warm bath can be helpful and I also get my DH to vigorously rub / massage my hips and thighs for me. Use pillows to support you in bed x
