Clary Sage?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with using clary sage oil to induce labour?

I've heard numerous stories that it can set off contractions and can be a good natural labour inducer?

I'm 37 weeks and am due to be induced in a week and a few days, I'd much prefer for baby to make his appearance on his own accord before i get to this point.

I've heard apparently it's used by some midwives soaked on a pad on the tummy to also help with afterbirth!

Would be great to hear if this actually does help or if it's just another rubbish old wives tale!

Thanks xx

Awwww @Ragdolly81 congratulations!!!! I've been brought in for my induction however before they have even examined was put on the monitor where baby decided to squeeze his cord and stop his oxygen supply!!!! Was then on monitor 2 hours where heartbeat was dipping although I finally stabilised! Tightenings every 5 mins in machine so just praying i can have my waters broken rather than pessary!

Jut had waters broken, they're leaving me an hour to see if I labour myself or if the drip is needed, however the contractions are definitely already starting! Hopefully it won't be too long 😩

Wow @Ragdolly81 you posted your last message the same minute he was born!!!!

Managed to labour myself until I got stuck at 9cm and baby's head had been squished there for 6 hours so gave me the drip, an hour later I was fully dilated and 40 mins of pushing my beautiful 5lb 13 baby boy was born!

Hope you're settling well with your new addition
