When did you find you lost your symptoms due to placenta? I've lost my boob pain, cramps and tiredness all I have left is constipation... what's everyone else been through

I think it’s a process rather than it just takes over, from what my doctor explained to me. Mine started around 9 weeks with my first (was told it’s why I woke up from a hyperemisis coma and felt reasonably okay), second time I have no idea and then I had a bleed around 10 weeks this time and was told bleeds are normal around this time as it’s when the placenta is starting to do its thing and get ready for the big job. I think by 12-13 weeks it’s taken over

Currently 16 weeks and it was gradual but I'm starting to feel sooooo much better, I know it doesn't last long generally for me so I'll take it while I can 😂

I'm 12+1 and my boob pain has reduced. Still vomiting/exhausted/feeling like death thoughSad

@FranticallyPeaceful I am so glad I have just read your post. I have been suffering badly from HG and just in the last few days I have started to feel a bit better. I have been panicking that maybe something is wrong but perhaps it is just because the placenta is taking over. Fingers crossed.

So the loss of some symptoms could be due to the placenta just getting ready to take over then??

@Markygirl1995 yes Smile

@hotchocolate86 I remember suffering so badly, i couldn’t even lift my head from my pillow, i was dehydrated and dizzy and everything made me worse. it was just the worst feeling... one day (during week 9) day I woke up and it was just... gone. I still felt pretty crappy but I could lift my head up, I could look outside, i felt amazing in comparison. I honestly thought I’d lost my baby! But nope. It was just the placenta switch lol. A lot of people get it more gradually but maybe because I was so bad I felt it more suddenly.

Anyway, he’s now a strapping lovely 11 year old and the baby with the bleed I’m now 30 weeks with Smile
