I'm 24 weeks pregnant and my ribs are killing me. I can't breathe properly and I feel so squished and crushed inside. It's so extremely uncomfortable and painful, is this normal for this far along? I didn't expect this until at least the 3rd trimester!

Is this your first? I'm 23+5 with my first! Don't even look big yet sob I find if I'm working I often get pain under right ribs! Not sure what it is tbh? X

I had this the other day but I was only 13 weeks however pregnant with my 2nd! The midwife told me it is just where everything is moving around and stretching to accommodate baby. If you are worried contact your midwife who can help put your mind at ease.

I had rib pain around that point too midwife just said it was everything shifting up as baby got bigger! 34 weeks now and for the last few weeks it’s back with a vengeance coupled with chronic acid reflux, baby is breech so head is lodged up under my ribs.

Gentle yoga poses like cat/cow help relieve the pain a little as it can encourage baby to drop a little. I’ve also invested in an exercise ball and find the bouncing releases the pain too!

It is my first! I never know if it's all normal or not! But sounds like I just need to grin and bare it, I've still got a while to go!

30 weeks and been having this for weeks along with braxton hicks. All delights I wasm’t expecting until the last 6 weeks like my DD. My deepest sympathies. The rest of pregnancy stretches far ahead like it will last forever when you’re uncomfortable. Flowers
