Baby Aspirin?

After my 12 weeks scan today, i saw the midwife and she gave me low dose aspirin to take every night as i had previous high blood pressure in my last pregnancy. The only thing is she’s given me dissolvable ones, ive just tried to drink it and it made me sick, so dramatic i know! does anybody know if I could just take normal low dose aspirin and not dissolvable? Thanks!

Are they the really tiny ones? If so they're probably the same as mine and I was told fine to swallow too.

Mine are dissolvable but I just swallow them. But yes it doesn't matter if they're dissolvable or not as long as they're the correct dosage of 75mcg.

Toscacat · 15/03/2018 21:46

Yes you can be careful the dose is the same but boots do one that's swallowed

Bippitybopityboo · 15/03/2018 22:25

You can get them in tablet form just check the dose. I do just swallow mine though but be quick cause they're foul if they dissolve on your tongue.

Yes mine were dissolvable. I would drink them in a pint of water.

I just swallowed the dissolvable ones too.

You can buy regular tablets OTC very cheaply in any pharmacy too. It's just aspirin 75mg.

thank you, they are the tiny ones. i will take this packet as normal tablets and then buy some none dissolvable ones, thank you!

I used to dissolve in a tiny bit of water and take it like a shot.

FranticallyPeaceful · 16/03/2018 09:50

The dissolvable ones can be just normally swallowed too, as long as you do it straight away

FranticallyPeaceful · 16/03/2018 09:51

(You can also get aspirin from Asda for like 12p a pack)

FranticallyPeaceful · 16/03/2018 09:51

Or Tesco etc

Mybabystolemysanity · 16/03/2018 09:52

Same here. I just take them like tablets. Endless nosebleeds now. Took all through last pregnancy too and still had problems.
