Am 5+4 and went to Doctors today for a booking in and my blood pressure is sky high. Put me on aspirin and calcium and referred me to early pregnancy unit.
I did have preeclampsia with DS1, observered with DS2 but conscious this is so early.
Has anyone experienced similar and it been ok?

I have chronic hypertension, I'm on methyldopa 3x a day and asprin and my bp averages about 143/94. High risk obstetrician is happy enough with it being this high as it is normal for me. Scares me tho when people say their doctors are worried at their similar readings being too high ,😕

Whoops, fat fingers. I think I accidentally reported this instead of replying.

Mine was 136/109 and while the doctor was concerned (she took multiple readings with different machines) she just said we would monitor it.

Eeek!

I am now on aspirin and calcium tablets and waiting for a referral to the early pregnancy unit to see a specialist

I wouldn't describe that as sky high and there's likely to have been a ouch of white coat hypertension too. Generally they are concerned about a change from your booking in appointment bp throughout your pregnancy. They may start you on medication which is perfectly safe to take in pregnancy and you will be more closely monitored and probably under consultant care.
