Early scan - scared

Hi,

I had an early scan today at 5w3d. I had some pain in my shoulder and they wanted to rule out ectopic. They saw a sac and the yolk sac where it should be so that is great. Then, after another 5 minutes or so of her poking around she told me there was a black mass in one if my tubes. She immediately said this could be an ectopic twin but couldn't tell and told me to come back in a week. I was a little overwhelmed so didn't ask any questions. I am suprised she jumped to that conclusion rather than a cyst or something? Has anyone else had this? I am so scared if that is an ectopic twin that the healthy baby is in danger...and if it isn't I am jumping to all sorts of horrid cancer conclusions. Going to be a long week wait....
