What the title says really.. I'm 24 weeks pregnant, started a new job as a carer worked 11 hours yesterday. Now I've got a temperature, hot sweats, feel sick, no appetite, headaches etc...

Is this just the lurgy and will soon pass or shall I go to the doctors? I never get ill, had no morning sickness and probably only vomited 5 times in my whole life!

Little bit worried as I feel my body is going into shut down.

Ok well 11 hours work is maybe a bit much right now? You might have caught something (sounds like you might have) or you might have just over done it a bit and your body is objecting. Can you speak to a nurse at your gp and see if she can advise you on if you need an appointment?

It sounds like a lurgy. I hope you feel better soon.

If I did 11 hours physical work now (28 weeks) I would feel lucky or death too. But what is normal physical activity for you?
