I had mine done last week at 24 weeks as hairdresser said it was fine. Probably best to call your hairdresser and check if the products they use are Safe.

You can have it done at any time during pregnancy. The only thing it might affect is how sensitive your skin is so you might want to do a patch test to make sure you're still ok with it.

I use to be a hairdresser and it is mostly down to skin sensitivity its a old wives tale about not being able to dye your hair during pregnancy. The smells might not be great for u though depending on how ur stomach is i know I had to stop working as the smells of the products made me want to throw up every time I went into the salon. Best to check a small piece of your skin first and maybe sit in the hairdressers for a few mins see how all the smells and products make u feel. As long as u skin is fine though your hair will be fine. Most products they use these days are safe but if u want to put ur mind at rest I would ring like suggested. We all deserve to be able to pamper are self's whilst pregnant and getting your hair done is a great way to do it.

You can have your hair highlighted any time. Just get a patch test (even of products you have used before) in case pregnancy has made you more sensitive to anything.

My understanding is ( and I could be wrong) highlighting is not a problem at any time, it's home hair dye kits and the hair dye where you get it pasted all over / directly on your scalp thats a problem... I dont know why thats the case though
