So I'm 38 weeks. My iorn levels came back dangerously low but I haven't been prescribed anything for it. I'm so tired and really feeling the effects. As well as having two autoimmune diseases and sciatica I'm really struggling and flagging
I've been trying to get iorn from leafy greens etc but I haven't had bloods taken since 32 weeks.

Today Im not sure if this sounds like a bug, but I kept wanting to pass out. I went to see the midwife who got me on the bed to feel the baby, got up and nearly fainted.
I was then sent for an emergency scan, I got up and had to rush back down due to almost fainting again..

I've also discovered I'm getting shaky. I'm negative for diabetes etc..

What could this be?

Sounds like anemia ! If your iron levels were dangerously low and you weren't prescribed anything for it , and now you are experiencing this , I am shocked the midwives havnt given you any iron !!

To put things in perspective my iron levels for 66 in pregnancy and I had your symptoms and I was taken go hospital for first an iron transfusion and then blood transfusions.

You'd need to get your blood tested asap.

Call 111, there really useful you might be able to go to hospital and get looked after really quick if you go through them.

Do you know what your iron levels were?
I would recommend SpaTone you can buy it in Boots or Holland & Barrett and you put one sachet of powder in juice and drink every day; it's brilliant at brining iron levels up and much easier to tolerate than iron tablets.

i also found spatone to really help. My MW told me to have it with orange juice every morning on an empty stomach so it absorvs properly. I suffer from low iron and low BP so often feel faint.
