Evening all,

I’m currently 5weeks and 5 days pregnant. I spotted brown from 9DPO until the day after my AF would have been due and then it stopped. I got my BFP at 12DPO. The spotting stopped completely for a week and now it’s back. I’m on to day 4 of spotting- it’s mainly pale brown but now pinkish brown (sorry for the TMI).
I know there’s nothing that can be done either way, I guess I just wanted to talk or hear some experiences.
Thanks in advance xx

@RD15 I hope so. Fingers crossed it was just a one off. Did you have on off spotting during your first pregnancy?

RD15 · 31/03/2018 16:24

Yeah I did. I think it stopped after about 18 weeks but it was on and off until then xxx

Every healthy pregnancy has a cyst, you can't stay pregnant in the first trimester without it. It comes from the follicle you ovulated from and provides the hormones needed until the placenta takes over in th second trimester. So it's nothing to worry about unless you have severe pain.

Would they have told me if baby wasn't measuring right at early pregnancy scan? As they never said exactly how many weeks I was just said I was around 5 that's earlier than I thought I was but they were happy to let me go and let me continue pregnancy as normal with the usual appointments and no follow ups with epu x

Lmj25 · 04/04/2018 13:06

Not had anything when I wiped since last week however just has some now so worried all over again was only abit so don't want to phone the epu yet but why can't it just stop 😫 x

RD15 · 04/04/2018 16:49

Hey there. If it’s just brown discharge again, then I would try not to worry. Obviously if it escalates or becomes red then I would phone the EPU. It keeps happening to me also, and I just try and tell myself that whatever happens, it’s out of our hands and we have no control over it. Worrying ourselves to death isn’t going to change the outcome (although I know first hand how hard it is not to). Try and distract yourself and just take each day as it comes xxx

RD15 · 04/04/2018 17:10

That sounds ok to me. I know what you mean. Do you have any follow up scans? Try not to worry xxx

Don’t be daft! If you feel like you need to seek reassurance, then please do. That’s what we’re here for. However, try to stay away from Dr Google! 😉 xx
