Is this the start of a miscarriage?

Evening all,

I’m currently 5weeks and 5 days pregnant. I spotted brown from 9DPO until the day after my AF would have been due and then it stopped. I got my BFP at 12DPO. The spotting stopped completely for a week and now it’s back. I’m on to day 4 of spotting- it’s mainly pale brown but now pinkish brown (sorry for the TMI).
I know there’s nothing that can be done either way, I guess I just wanted to talk or hear some experiences.

All ok here and no change. Let us know how you get on with your blood test results @Mooana - I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I’m hoping we all come out on the other side unscathed xxx

Hi all, just keeping the thread updated incase anyone else is worried about similar symptoms.

Still no more bleeding (hurrah!) I also caved and took a digital CB pregnancy test again this morning and it had moved up to the 3+ weeks - hurrah!

Call from GP saying that hormone levels looked ok for the stage I'm at according to the first blood test, but that they need to do a second to check the progress of the levels of course. Will results from 2nd test tomorrow.

Feeling sick constantly - so I'm assuming that all is going as well as it could be despite the bleeding. :-) Hope things are going similarly well for you guys too!

Hello I am super new here and just found out am pregnant about 4+2 was a super big shock as I had been on the injection and had ready horror stories about how people hadn't been able to get pregnant in years! I'm sort of just wondering like is it normally to be like so paranoid about everything once you find out? Like I'm so scared something is going to happen and I have a mc! I've only told OH and one best friend so am kinda like what so I even do?? Like when do I speak to a doctor?

Hi I'm currently around 8-9 week first midwife appointment is next week. Past few days had pink discharge when I wipe which scares me to death and also had bellyache but pretty much all over my stomach if that makes sense under ribs also. Ended up at epu yesterday they didn't seem too concerned said it is common in early pregnancy felt my stomach etc, I'm booked in for a scan with thrm tomorrow. However this morning it's changed colour a bit I think I don't know if I'm just getting too paranoid and the cramps have been quite uncomfortable this morning in
My back also so stressed has anyone else experienced this just can't stop the worrying this is my second pregnancy can't remember any of this with the 1st c

I am currently in the same situation, bleeding at near 7wks, miscarried last year for 2nd time. I saw my midwife at 4wks, no idea why so early but done all my booking in and she's out to me again next week. She is on leave this week which is typical and Easter long weekend is just around the corner. I am hoping to be able to book myself into EPU in the morning

So sorry to hear that. I hate the 1st trimester I'm a worrier as it is just wish this would go away as I can't stop worrying x

Hi girls,

Sorry you’re having such a tough time. I have experienced what you have and thankfully it was all ok. I bled several times from 6 weeks to about 18 weeks in my first pregnancy. It is awfully stressful but it isn’t always bad news.

This pregnancy a spotted for almost 12 days. Had a scan at the EPAC and all was ok.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you both. Let us know how you get on xxx

Mines on and off when I wipe sorry for tmi just wish there was none at all cos I'm getting scared of going for a pickle daft ad it sounds lol. Hoping cramps are just everything stretching/growing got a scan tomorrow at the epu so pray my everything goes ok x

Had scan just earlier than I thought so they think maybe implantation bleeding but baby has a heart beat and they're happy with what they've seen x

Again today as I did the other day however I've had scan yesterday baby was fine do you think this is just normal they didn't want to see me again at the epu?x

Be one thing after another this pregnancy and I'm only 5 weeks in I just want to make it to 12 weeks ahhhh. I saw the heartbeat for myself yesterday but just worried with this still being there when I wipe it's not a lot colour is just slightly tinted when I wipe if that makes sense x

Try not to worry. My spotting continued for almost a week after my scan before it stops. Unless it’s bright red and accompanied with cramps, you’ll most likely be fine 💕 xx

I have a few aches but think that's just normal stretching it's nothing I feel I need to take paracetamol for. I'm a terrible worrier as it is im sure I heard the woman who did my scan say cyst but the nothing else was mentioned after that the nurse I saw after the scan didn't say anything either do you think they would have told me if there was a cyst? Xx

And they gave me 1 scan picture for me to keep then there was another they kept I asked if everything was ok and they said yes it's just to put in my file I'm terrified there's something wrong with me now but surely if I did have a cyst they would have told me?x

@Lmj25 if there was something wrong they definitely would have told you. I know it's really hard as I have health anxiety but is there anything you can do to keep your mind off it? How about a nice dinner or film? Hope you're feeling ok.

They basically said cyst once if they even said that I might have heard wrong but pretty sure it was that but then nothing after that was mentioned they said everything was fine baby was in right place etc. But they were having a really thorough look around but maybe that's normal with it being an early pregnancy scan as I thought something was wrong? I'm currently watching the soaps trying to put it to the back of my mind lol

@Lmj25 they were very through in my 5+6 one as well so sounds completely normal to me.

Unfortunately I've had some brown discharge again today after a bowel movement this morning. Am 8+3. Really hoping it's a one-off... am now terrified again. I do have my second early scan at the EPU on Tuesday morning though. Just wish it was today.

Ah @Magpie24- sorry to hear that you’ve had a bit more spotting. Remember though, brown blood is old blood so try not to worry too much xxx
