Pain in the a*se - literally! What's happening?

I'm 30 +1, and several times over the last couple of weeks I've noticed a pain in my right butt cheek (TMI, sorry) and sometimes extending down my leg, sometimes bad enough to make me limp for a minute or two. If I make myself walk it off it does go, but it's a bit uncomfortable.
Funny enough, my right side is also the side where most of the activity from my LO is.
Any ideas what this is/what I should do?

sciatica

uterus pressing on a nerve, not a lot you can do about it, i'm afraid !

nothing dangerous though, it might ease off as your pregnancy progresses

2nd lulumama, does sound like sciatica. If the pain gets worse or more frequent you can asked to be referred to an obstetric/womens health physio. They will be able to give you some advice re pain avoidance & reduction.
If you develop any pins and needles or numbness in the leg, foot or groin then go see your GP.

or you could go and visit a chiropractor. i am a chiropractor and treat lots of pg women with this problem.

My sympathy moorhen have been having exactly the same problem since about 31 weeks (now nearly 37. It comes and goes and can be bad enough to stop me as I'm waddling down the road and have to grab something for support. But still not quite bad enough to make haul to physio or osteo worthwhile. Just take it as easy as you can (always easier said than done) and congratulate yourself for being on the home run now!
