What does a UTI in pregnancy feel like?

I have a doctors appointment after work today, but I'm curious as to whether what I am feeling is an early pregnancy symptom (I'm currently 6 weeks) or something more like a UTI infection.

Obviously I'm going to the dr to be tested, but can anyone tell me what their UTI felt like in early pregnancy?

I keep needing a wee, but then also feeling like my bladder isn't fully empty. Nothing burns, but I am getting some tummy aches which are as if my bladder is totally full... not at all like period pains.

Do I need to worry about my little bean?

Did you go to the doctor?? That sounds like a water infection, they will give you antibiotics. Also lots of cranberry juice xx

@Brownbear84 I did, and have been given antibiotics. Hopefully that will fix the problem with no harm to bean (she did assure me they were safe to use!)

Most antibiotics are safe in pregnancy get well soon xx

So, I haven't been able to urinate since about 7pm last night... antibiotics don't seem be to doing the trick. I think this baby might be getting too big for its boots already and squashing my bladder.

I think I'm going to have to head to A&E but I'm scared... has anyone else had this problem before?

(X-posted to another board for as much indie as possible)

Go back to the doctors today xx

Do head to A&E if you haven't already. They'll probably put a catheter in to relieve the initial problem and then check you out. The quicker you go the sooner you'll be seen, you don't want to wait until its painful in case you aren't taken straight away.
