Hey everyone! I'm nearly 11 weeks pregnant and was wondering when did your symptoms ease or disappear? My understanding is that once the placenta takes over the nausea etc might stop? xx

About six hours after birth.

I think this is a bit of a how-long-is-a-piece-of-string question, it varies so widely!
My first pregnancy I felt awful until about 34 weeks. My second pregnancy I never had a day's sickness and felt great throughout.

Until I gave birth. Then a whole new set of issues started!

1st trimester - walk in the park.
2nd trimester - debilitating nausea and some vom in interesting places!
3rd trimester - a walk in the park and i loved being huge!
4th trimester - hideous (colic for 4 months, no support).

Things got better when ds was 5mo and crawling.

Congratulations Flowers

Birth, but the third trimester was the best if you ignore the need to do a piss every 5 minutes and the inability to take a full breath , at least i wasnt puking ! Dont worry it all melts away when that adorable little bundle is in your arms

Thanks guys. It just goes to show that everyone's experience is different and anything can happen!

Pretty much as Anatidae says. If it's not one thing it's another...

Third trimester is always the best. I mean heartburn radiates you, SPD may be tearing you apart, you wake 8 times a night to pee, turning in bed feels like your pelvis is trying to escape your body, the swelling, the tiredness and did I mention the peeing? But... food tastes like absolute heaven and the sickness and headaches usually mostly disappear. It’s pretty nice.

SciFiRocker · 12/03/2018 05:08

Second trimester was best for me because I had minimal sickness which returned again in force in the third trimester and also spd got bad in the third trimester so I couldn't walk or sleep or move without being in pain!

ForeverHopeful21 · 12/03/2018 09:12

Morning sickness and nausea stopped around 13 weeks.
I was then symptom free until around 20 weeks when I then gained new symptoms ....sore hips, sore legs, insomnia etc etc. Although I haven't had a decent nights sleep in 15 weeks and I'm ready to rip my legs off, I still think first trimester was the worst for me ...really hated the sickness!!
