Got a rash. Anybody knows what that is please? *pics*

Suddenly got a rash. Might be down to having lots of home made forest fruit jam?

It’s not chicken pox, is it?
It’s all over my body.

I'm not sure exactly what it is but it looks like a reaction to something . Not chicken pox tho that comes up in little blisters.

Looks like heat rash to me. I get it not just from heat (sun, shower, getting hot at the gym...) but also occasionally as a mild allergy (including hayfever and washing powder and, once, vibrations while riding a bike - my skin is ridiculous). Every so often I get it on my hands or knees for no reason at all.

Can you take antihistamines?

I got this! It was like prickly heat

It doesn't look like chicken pox (DS is just coming to end of them).
Could be an allergic reaction or heat rash.
Being that you are pregnant I would call 111 and ask them for advice.

I came out in a rash/spots the other week and from ringing the Dr's to being seen was less than an hour as I'm also pregnant and they wanted to check it was nothing serious.

nip to chemist and ask whats available to use and if none open then call 111 and explain pregnant and rash etc.

FF Jam especially home made makes me burst out in bad rash but normally within a couple of hours.

try some cool clothes and if really itchy then get seen asap.

I get a rash like that if I take penicillin.

I get that if I forget my antihistamines

I am seeing the consultant today so will ask him about the rash. It’s still the same this morning, but not itchy.

Looks like urticaria.

I had that when I was pg with dc2.

Soooo itchy and incredibly hot.

I sat in a cold bath to relieve it and was given antihistamine.

I hope it clears up soon.

I had a thing called puppp. It's urticaria in pregnancy and apparently it's quite common. I never found out what caused mine but I was told it was ok to take antihistamines and calamine lotion on the rash.

You should consult your doctor or midwife about any rash in pregnancy as soon can be serious.

Could be an allergic reaction, could be PUPP. Your consultant will be able to advise re: antihistamines.
