Hey girl I'm currently 20 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have developed thrush. I had uncomfortable sex the other day were I wasn't fully turned on and now I've had a sore and itchy vagina ever since what treatments did people use while pregnant? Xx

Hi there, don’t worry or be embarrassed it happens to many of us pregnant ladies. All you have to do is make a gp appointment and they will prescribe you something which will clear it up quickly. Avoid using soaps, etc down there. You do need to have it checked though as it could be bacterial vaginosis which requires a different medication. Both pop up in pregnancy sometimes due to changing hormones and bacteria’s etc. Don’t sit and suffer though. The joys of pregnancy!!

Your go will prescribe you the suppository type. Although you can normally buy it over the counter a pharmacist won't sell it to you. Gp will tell you it's fine and to insert it with a finger instead of the applicator. I had thrush all through my last pregnancy. Walked like john wayne for 9 months as it never shifted!
