Feeling wretched

Hi All

I'm 7 weeks and I just feel terrible. Is anyone else cold all the time? And I'm just absolutely bone tired. The nausea is so bad I'm barely getting any food down which can't be helping. I'm only getting one meal ish down. Eating anything makes me feel so much worse.

My GP prescribed me some medication to help with the nausea but it make me even more exhausted?

I'm also having heart palpitations. Time to go back to my doctor?! Or is this just normal?

Sorry that you are feeling so rubbish; there isn't much I can say to help I am afraid other than it does generally get better so just try to hang on in there.
Heart palpitations could well be caused by dehydration (I had exactly the same when I was sick) try to drink as much fluid as you can but do it in little sips at a time to try and help keep it down.
I found eating small snacks easier than eating an actual meal but definitely just stick to any foods that you fancy.

I'm 15 weeks with my third
You just described exactly how I still feel it's so draining and I'm exhaaaausted .. but Your only 7 weeks it'll get better soon! My nausea ain't as bad as what it was at 7-11 weeks so hang in there x

Thanks Ladies! I've been having these symptoms for weeks now. I know I just need to hang on in. Properly terrible. I had no idea pregnancy would be this bad.

Hi, I’m 9 weeks and have to say that at 7 weeks there I felt horrendous, cold all the time as you say and just felt so exhausted and constantly retching. Thankfully it’s cleared up so much now although have felt a little rough today. Just try to sip at fluids, I found ice cold orange juice and ice lollies great. And plain biscuits and bland stuff etc. I had no sickness with my first at all!

Yeah just snack on dry stuff like toast or crackers .. I craved fruit so anything cold out the fridge was good for me .. big meals I still can't really eat . And the smell when there cooking makes me gagEnvy but with my last two pregnancy's these symptoms disappeared by 12 weeks ! It does get better though! Your body is just working extra hard atm .. are you taking vitamins? X

Yes I'm taking the pregnacare ones. I'm having a complete aversion to fruit at the moment which I miss! The taste is fine, the texture makes me gag. Even when I eat something like dry crackers I spend the next hour or so desperately trying not to vomit. Oh well.

Sounds like me at the beginning I ended up in hospital and changed my meds as they were making me sk tired....the coldness is a sign of dehydration. I'm now 31 weeks and feel okay except when I first wake up. Good luck x
