Hi guys I'm fairly new to this so bare with me..
I just wanted to know if anybody else had the same problem as me.
My husband and I have decided to try for a baby, I was on the pill for over 2 years and I came off it 1st of Feb 2018, 4 days I later had my withdrawal bleed as you do .. after that I haven't got a period since or a positive pregnancy test?

I am getting cramping all over my stomach all the time but im not sure if it's period pains or something elseI'm really confused ..

I think it can take a while for your periods to return to normal after coming off the pill.

TheCatsMother44 · 09/03/2018 13:23

It can take a while to get your body back to a normal stale or routine after being on the pill and sometimes when you think you're there something happens and you realise you're actually not completely back to normal yet.

My first period after coming off the pill took ages-I also took a test which was negative but eventually after about 40 days my period turned up...three erratic (28 days, 21 days, 24 days) cycles later and I'm pregnant with my first-around 8 weeks. Try not to stress-that can impact on your cycle too X

It can take up to a year for your periods to return to normal after coming off of the pill so I suspect this is why you haven't had one yet.

I came off the pill and ttc straight after the withdrawal bleed. I got pregnant before having a period. The doctor said that ovulation can be delayed after coming off it so maybe keep having sex every few days to try and catch when u do ovulated/your cycles return. Its a guessing game unfortunately and sometimes it can take time

If you had a withdrawal bleed on 4th Feb then it's only been just over a month - not a weirdly long time at all. Do you know how long your cycle was before you went on the pill?

Shaunieh95 · 09/03/2018 16:36

It also took me a fair few months to get my period back however one full proper cycle and then I fell on!

Rosepetals11 · 09/03/2018 19:51

Thank you for all your messages I know it hasn't been that long but I'm just getting impatient as I'm getting all the cramping but no period.
I've come off the pill before when I was younger because I had gone on it for my acne and when I come off it my period had been quite regular and came back quickly but I've been on the pill for a little longer this time.

Well just have to wait n see

It was 5 months until I had my first period after coming off the pill! I was so stressed and worried about it but it’s totally normal apparently. It can take a long time for your body to get back into its normal routine again but it will happen eventually. We didn’t start trying straight away after I came off but we wanted to within a year or so. After being off the pill for 10 months and trying for 3 of those I fell pregnant and am now 22 weeks :)
