I just feel I am never going to get better. Just finished antibiotics for the chest infection and came down with another cold. Can’t breathe, blocked nose, really sore throat and a fever. So fed up.
I am 14 weeks. Does the immune system get better as the pregnancy progresses?

Hello! Nope, I was ill NON-STOP from October to mid-Feb too. A never ending run of colds, coughs, tonsillitis and then tummy bugs - it's just the worst! I really feel for you, especially since you can't take anything to ease it! Not sure whether it was changing brands of multivits, hitting the third trimester, or indulging my hankering for ALL THE CITRUS but I've been much better since, thank god! Fingers crossed it's nearly worn itself out for you too x

I was sick with a cold my entire first trimester. It's my second pregnancy and I didn't realise I was pregnant until almost 10 weeks because I thought it must just be the cold making me feel crappy Blush I'm 26w now and haven't been ill since, touch wood. In my first pregnancy I had none of it - a week of a mild cough and that was it - but then I wasn't in the early stages over the winter.

Yep I'm on my third lot of anti biotics since x mas. Just glad I've only got a few weeks to due date and then maybe I can have some of my immunity back!
