Exercise ball

Hello, I'm looking to buy myself an exercise ball, mostly to sit on at home as I've read it can be more comfortable than sitting elsewhere whilst you've got coccyx pain, but may also use it for exercise/stretching. I'm 25 weeks pregnant atm but want something that will last even when I'm full term and a lot heavier.

I've had a look online and there's loads of different sizes. Can anyone recommend what size I should be getting, or recommend an inexpensive exercise ball that has done the trick for them? Ta.

From what I remember the size of the ball depends on how tall you are. So all your joints are at right angels. I just bought a yoga? Ball from a sports shop

I think most "Swiss balls" like the ones you see in gyms come in 55, 65 or 70 (maybe 75) cm sizes. There are recommended sizes for different heights, so try googling Swiss ball sizes to find the best one for your height. You can also buy a base to put them on for sitting, to make them more stable, which might be a good idea as you get further along!

A good tip is to get one that specifically says it's anti burst - these are a bit stronger so you feel more confident it's not going to pop 😂 I took the first one I bought back as it felt too flimsy

My DH bought me a giant space hopper which I plan to use again in the summer months 😂

Hatter That sounds great! I live in a third floor flat though, I don't think downstairs would appreciate me hopping about haha.

I got a 65cm one from sports direct which was the cheapest place by far, I'm 5ft 1 and it was a good size for me

I think it's supposed to be

5"4 and under - 55cm
5"5 to 5"10 is- 65cm
5"10 and over - 75cm

But I read this after I got mine , I'm 5"2 and ordered a 75cm from amazon purely because it was quick delivery and a reasonable price , and it works absolutely fine for me!

Hmm, I wish there was somewhere I could try and sit on a few to see what I liked most as mostly I want it to just sit on. I am 5'5 so will get 55 or 65 but not sure which...swissball.com's ranges are a bit different than the above, they say 55cm for anything up to 5'5.
