First off I’ll apologise for even showing you this but I really need peace of mind, picking that over my dignity here haha. I’ve had 3 mc before, this is my fourth pregnancy, had last mc in January. Found I was pregnant again right after so unsure how many weeks etc. First off had my bloods done they were rising by 10 in a 2 day period, following that it increased only by 5 so suspected ectopic. Went back yesterday ( a week later) for bloods and my levels had gone from 200 to 1010. Was very shocked. Had another scan today as nurse all thought ectopic but found a little sac with a heartbeat in my womb. So shocked! But I’ve had this brown /black bleeding the past 2/4 days. Nurse said she thinks impantation but I’ve had implantation bleed before and it wasn’t like this. Opinions? (P.s I put a tissue over the pad whilst I was out today as I was worried about leaking through, although it isn’t that heavy, just me bein paranoid)

They'd rescan you.

But they'll prob be shut now.

Catherine0201 · 08/03/2018 17:03

When I spoke with nurse she said because my pregnancy started off so weird that it’s my hcg levels I have to keep in mind miscarrage is still a possibility in which case may need to wait for nature to take its course. That’s when I spoke with her yesterday but again I didn’t say I was bleeding through pads

With my hcg levels*

EPAU generally keep office hours. So there's little you can do now unless you're in severe pain and the blood is coming in gushes, if that happens you can go to A&E but they probably won't scan you until the morning.

I hope it slows down and you feel ok soon.

Catherine0201 · 08/03/2018 19:00

Just went toilet, it’s got so much worse, wiped this

Markygirl1995 · 08/03/2018 19:02

I think A&E how do you feel? You don't want to lose too much blood

AriAliyah · 08/03/2018 19:05

Get yourself to a&e hun. So much better to be safe than sorry.

TheImprobableGirl · 08/03/2018 19:07

Oh dear, I would definitely get yourself back to emergency care asap OP, I think it could be worth gently preparing yourself for the worst case scenario

anxiousmumtobe33 · 08/03/2018 19:07

Go to A&E. They can definitely help with the pain.

JediStoleMyBike · 08/03/2018 21:48

Sending thoughts your way OP. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

Brownbear84 · 08/03/2018 21:51

Frazzled2207 · 08/03/2018 23:09

LondonStill83 · 08/03/2018 23:20

Oh op I hope you are okay.

My heart really goes out to you- not knowing is so horrible.

Catherine0201 · 09/03/2018 09:33

Pain got me worse throughout the night, I was going to go to a&e but I didn’t even feel up to it. I’ve been lying down the past 12 hours, passed a clot and bleeding went on boyfriends bedding through my pad :/ this morning I feel okay although I haven’t moved much so I’ll see how I feel a bit later, I think I’d be more up to going hospital today rather than last night just because I couldn’t deal with the waiting, I was so exhausted I think a part of me just needed rest. Definitely calling into work sick today

Brownbear84 · 09/03/2018 13:08

Have you been to the hospital today?xx

somersetsoul · 09/03/2018 13:52

I hope your ok op x

anxiousmumtobe33 · 09/03/2018 13:55

For your own safety you need to be seen by EPAU. I can understand why you want to hide away and make yourself as comfortable as possible but it's unsafe to do so.

Go and get scanned again.

choccybiscuit · 09/03/2018 14:21

How are you Op?

Paloma88 · 09/03/2018 14:33

You must go to the hospital. Why haven’t you?

I’ve had this all the way through. I’m 33 weeks now and get dark bleeds every few weeks. I’ve been in to midwife or hospital each time but nothing wrong - they think just cervix being irritated. I had a small ectropian at one point. I’ve had an anti d jab just in case each time too as I’m rhesus neg. also had blood tests and swabs to rule out infection.

Go into your midwife or birthing unit and ask for them to check your cervix. You may also have an ectropian (look it up, nothing bad).

It’s brown so old blood ie, not freshly bleeding. I felt like this and it still scares me each time I see it, but try not to focus on the scare stories you see on here. Just get yourself checked. It could be easily solved :)

CRZ1988 · 09/03/2018 14:38

OP I really hope you're ok and echo what the other ladies have said in that you really need to get medical help.

Sending love xx

Catherine0201 · 09/03/2018 22:22

I went to a&e in a different today as I couldn’t get to my original hospital. They said -even though I had my pregnancy record book with all notes and discharge letters from nurses - I couldn’t be directly transferred to their maternity unit and had to wait, after sitting there in a packed room with contraction like pains and heavy bleeding i went back up to receptionist who told me to just walk straight into doctors triage and be seen. I went in, was told there is no priority and there were over 40 patients to be seen in front of me, so I left

OP posts:
Brownbear84 · 09/03/2018 22:22

Really hope you've gone to the hospital. Hope all is ok xx

lizzlebizzle33 · 10/03/2018 01:04

Oh my word so they didn't see you? I understand there are other people to see but that's just awful. How are you feeling now? I hope you will go to your own hospital tomorrow if you can? Sending hugs to you sweetheart.xx

PinkAvocado · 10/03/2018 01:10

Where I am, you cannot self-refer to EPAU, your GP or midwife has to refer you and the EPAU is only open office hours but if you’re in pain and bleeding a lot you need to be seen by someone. Have you tried 111? Here, they would ask you to go to A&E but also call it through to them so that you would be seen as soon as possible. Good luck.
