What to wear to a spa day (35 weeks pregnant)

I am going on a spa break next weekend before baby arrives Smile

I will be 35 weeks pregnant- so a sizable bump!

I know I shouldn't care and should wear what I want/feel comfortable in. But what would you do?

Would you wear a normal bikini? Or should I go out and buy a maternity swimsuit that covers my bump? (Not so keen on spending money on something I'm only going to wear once)

I don't want my bump to stand out and draw attention being so pregnant- do you think I could get away with wearing a tight fitting black gym vest with bikini bottoms? (I think this would looked a bit like a swimsuit from a distance?)

It just feels so odd to be so pregnant and have people see me in such little clothing (I have hidden under baggy clothing all winter!)

Wear a bikini if you're comfortable with how your bump looks, if not you could get a tankini? I got a maternity one from tesco, all black and was about £9, you could keep it for labour in case you want to use the birthing pool too

I would wear whatever you feel comfortable in, but if you do decide you want a swimsuit I got a really nice one from George at Asda and it was only £14.

I bought a swimsuit a size bigger that I wore swimming up until 39 weeks, €15, can still wear it now 3 months pp, great value!

Thank you both. I'm so tight I'm just not sure I want to buy a new swimsuit that I'll just wear once.

I'll go try a few things on now

Would what I did be an option, buy a cheap regular one a size up?

I just got back from a spa break at 34 weeks pregnant. Had a nice pregnancy swimming costume I planned to wear, tried it on the night before and it didn’t fit over my huge bump 🙈 so bikini it was! But I think whatever you feel comfortable in is fine. Enjoy the spa!

At DS swimming lessons I just wear my normal bikini. People will notice you are pregnant either way so I wouldn’t waste money on a new swimsuit!
