Is this a show!? It’s like an egg white consistsnybsnd it’s tinted pink! I’ve been having this on and off for the last two days now and there’s loads of it!! Went into hospital last night with contractions but then they suddenly stopped! Had a stretch and sweep before coming home from hospital and this stuff has significantly increased! I’m 40 was btw Advice please!!

Oh I hope so 🤞 how long did it take to go into labour after a show?

I dont know im 4 days overdue lol! I had a failed sweep 3 days ago, my cervix was still closed so couldn't have the sweep. But had a bloody show 8 hours later and still losing bits of mucus plug. Not much else has happened though, but if you've already started with contractions and they've stopped again sounds like you're closer than me! Get bouncing on the ball and walking around, im sure you'll only have a few more days to wait! Good luck!

That's how it sounded for me! I think I went into labour 4 days after the show. But everyone is different! Sounds like things are happening, good luck! X

Later the same day for me.

Ohhh it all sounds like hopeful news!! When I went into labour ward they said my contraction were good and everything was looking good but then my internal revealed a high closed cervix, but had to stay in over night in the morning had the midwife managed to perform a stretch and sweep my membranes saying I was 1cm dilated but cervix was still hard today I’m still losing bits of this ‘show’ stuff and having tightenings starting in my back! Hopefully it’ll be the real deal this time!

That fills me with a bit more hope if your cervix was also high and closed like mine, hopefully that means things might start with me soon too!

Yeah fingers crossed for you! My midwife said it’s like to take a while to get into ‘established’ labour but once I’m in it then it should happen pretty quickly so that’s reassuring
