My GP has just referred me to my local hospital/midwives, but said they probably won't contact me until April (I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant). This sounds really late compared to some people.

How far along were you for your first appointment with a midwife, I've been told to expect it between 10-12 weeks.

I'm already a nervous wreck so another 5 weeks of waiting might just do me in...

11 weeks Hun and that was the earliest appointment, please don't worry and if you really concerned you can phone triage at your local hospital if you have any concerns they have Midwife's on call there, congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy 😁😀

I was 6 weeks with my last pregnancy and about 8 weeks with other pregnancies. I wouldn't worry if that's what they have told you, it probably differs depending on area.

I was 12 + 6. If your 5 weeks now you fine to be seen in April so try not to panic

I found out last week I was about 5 weeks and I am booked in for my first appointment on 21st March. Worrying every day though that it isn't real and I will get there and she will laugh at me and wonder why im there... :-(
