Stitch like pain under left ribcage?

Hi everyone.

I'm seven weeks pregnant with my first child and today noticed I've been getting an occasional sharp pain under my left ribcage. It's very very similar to the pain of a stitch, and indeed yesterday, when I was out shopping and doing a lot of walking, I kept getting a stitch in the exact same place.

It's not bad (maybe a 3 out of 10) and isn't constant either. I also had some very slight brown spotting yesterday and the day before, but it's stopped now. I'm not getting any pain anywhere else. My nausea has kicked up a notch these past few days which can only be a good thing (albeit unpleasant for me!)

Should I be concerned? This being my first pregnancy (and me being a natural worrier anyway) every little niggle is terror inducing!

I've had similar. Could it be indigestion?

Possibly, I've been quite constipated and gassy too (thanks pregnancy ).

I don't want to worry you but I believe pain under the rib is a possible sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I'd get it checked out to be on the safe side.

I had this really badly for the first time today (I am almost 5 weeks). I too was worried about possible ectopic but the pain has gone now so not sure. Going to keep an eye on it
