Hi all

Can anyone recommend any good hypnobirthing books/info? I really want to try hypnobirthing but have just signed up for NCT classes and unfortunately can’t justify paying for a hypnobirthing course as well.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated Smile

The Katherine Graves book seems to be the Bible.

Have you checked with your midwives? In some parts, they do these courses on the NHS.

Also some HypnoB courses will offer different rates for those on low incomes, I have noticed.

I found the mongan method very helpful. I'm due my second hypnobirth on the next few weeks :)

I have signed up for an online hypnobirthing course that was cheaper than attending a course:

In my area the cost of the NHS hypnobirthing course was exactly the same price as a private one (around £250).

I've used the Calm Birth School book alongside my course but it can also be used on its own and I would recommend it.

Thank you so much! All very helpful info! I had no idea that in some places NHS run courses

The Sophie Fletcher, Mindful Hypnobirthing book is also good and they offer a free relaxation track.

I did a course which was very helpful but there's a hypnobirthing teacher that puts YouTube videos online that are really great - I think it's Positive Birth Mamma?
