I'm sorry this is a difficult topic but I don't know what to do. I had a scan at 9 weeks saw heartbeat all fine.
At 11 weeks I had random spotting red/brown discharge very small amounts rang EPU on the second day and got a scan yesterday(Monday) they confirmed no heart beat or blood flow think it stopped growing 9+4 so literally days after my previous scan.
Obviously I'm devastated this is my first experience of MC, after lots of research I'm booked to have MVA under local done at midday tomorrow (Wednesday).
My issue is that I'm now having cramping bleeding clots and I'm terrified it's going to happen naturally before then as obviously its already been 2 weeks.
The hospital originally advised not to have natural or tablets as I'm so far ahead but just spoke to the epu and they've basically said there's nothing they can do.
Any advice or anything I can do while I pray it holds off and I can stick with the original plan? I'm at home with 4 year old DD and thankfully DP is here as he's usually working away in London.
Sorry and thanks x

I'm so sorry for your loss. As far as practicalities go, make sure you have some decent painkillers and take them regularly. And thick pads. It's a painful process but not unmanageable. Keep an eye on things and rest as much as you need to. Advice I got was to call for advice if I was going through more than a pad an hour.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. There is a miscarriage section on the body and soul part of this board and there is a sticky thread with helpful tips on coping with the physical sides of a miscarriage.

I'm so sorry sending you big hugs

I had a very similar time this time last year. I was 11+3 when I miscarried but think only really 8ish weeks. I did it naturally and although it was awful, the worst was over in 12 hours or so.

I went for a scan the next day to make sure everything had passed. I had a bit of discomfort and bleeding for 2 weeks after but it was bearable.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's horrendous but you will be ok. Stay at home, have a glass of wine and try to take your mind of it. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen if you need them.

Thank you for your replies. Sorry I couldn't find a miscarriage board thank you should I repost there? Bleeding has slowed keeping my fingers crossed I can hold out until my appointment. I'm not sure it's fully sunk in yet but it's so sad that so many people have had to experience it x
