Never been a mn member before and so so happy I now have a reason to join!

Just found out I'm pregnant. 4 weeks today! Filled with so many emotions. Anxiety about miscarriage. Elated that I got pregnant so quickly. Strange feeling that this isn't real. Scared, about just about everything!!

Does anyone have any advice on how to calm nerves? So over the moon and would love to be able to actually enjoy this time regardless of what happens in the future.

Thanks in advance for your responses and best of luck to you all!

Aw, what lovely news @AriAliyah, congratulations!!
It’s absolutely normal to feel anxious, and probably not much you can do about it, just wait for your scan. Look after yourself, take plenty of rest when you need it, eat well (if you can!) - that’s all there is to it! Read about things you should avoid eating/doing. That’s all you can influence. The rest is in Nature’s/ God’s hands, whatever you believe in. Good luck!

Congratulations.

Passing time until your first scan is hard.

I found downloading a couple of apps with daily tips/blogs appropriate to your week of gestation was helpful.

I also sorted out referring myself to the midwife, taking my vitamins and doing research into baby/pregnancy things helpful.

Every new week we would read the weekly update on one of the apps together in bed before starting work and say 'Happy Week 7' to each other. So we made our own mini milestones.
