Do early pregnancy symptoms come and go?

Long story short. I am 4 weeks pregnant today (very happy)! I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder which causes constant worry and nervousness. I've been medicated for it in the past but as soon as we were ttc I came off. I am so happy that I'm pregnant. I've wanted it for years and after miscarriages and treatment for cancerous cells, I'm finally pregnant again.

My question is. Did your symptoms come and go? I had really sore boobs up until today and suddenly they seem to be fine. Morning sickness has been on and off. But only mild as still early on. Am I stressing over nothing? I'm finding it really hard to enjoy my pregnancy and worried my anxiety is causing some unnecessary worries.

Thanks all in advance. PG

Congratulations :) I'm a bit ahead of you, 7wks 3 I think. My symptoms come and go. The sick feeling is a bit more constant now but my boobs don't hurt much today. Its all normal :)

I've done loads of pg tests and have a scan on Wednesday! This is my third but this time there are apps, google is more of a thing and its very scary!

@somersetsoul I know what you mean! The internet can do more harm than good sometimes! I'm just so scared of miscarriage... I guess that's normal.

Thanks very much for your response. Many congratulations!

Google is just a nightmare! You can turn the smallest thing into anything!! Do you know if you'll be offered an early scan? I should think you will.

I'm hoping mine will be ok and it will put my mind to rest a bit! :)

I'm 9 weeks and mine seem to come and go. Some days I feel sooooo pregnant (sick, tired, bloated and with really sore boobs) and then other days I feel totally normal! I had an early scan last week and everything seemed ok so think it just happens

@somersetsoul I went to my gp as soon as I found out however he said I wouldn't get a call until 11/12 weeks. I found that strange considering my history but he assured me this was normal.

My mum has treated me to an early scan Smile I do wish I could see the midwife earlier, or at least hear from her. I've never made it to 4 weeks before so am absolutely terrified!

This forum is amazing however. So much support from complete strangers. Fab!

Mine were really up and down, I had maybe 5-7 days of only tolerating white carbs and fruit and I think I can blame a bunged up cold for that. I was never sick, my energy was ok, no real cramps and just didn't 'feel' pregnant. Some days boobs were so tender and the next day normal (all experienced between 5-12 weeks) I was so anxious and didn't let myself enjoy the pregnancy and ended up paying privately for scan at 6+3 and 9 weeks. (Cried and warned partner my lack of symptoms were a terrible sign before the 9 week scan) Looking back at 20 weeks I can now say I had an amazing first trimester and how lucky I was not to be so poorly, but at the time I was seeking reassurance and wanted strong consistent symptoms. I hope my experience helps and best of luck managing the anxiety!!

Mine came and went in the early weeks, I worried about it and then I felt like shite 24/7 till about 13 weeks. If you feel well try and enjoy it! x

Hey everyone.... I’m new to the forum. I just found out I’m pregnant. Really excited. Think I’m maybe somewhere between 3/5 weeks. Done loads of tests till i got the super strong line. Only my symptoms seem to come and go. Some nipple tenderness, using loo a lot, no sickness maybe sometimes a upset tummy but not much. So scared in case it means something bad. I’m expecting a early scan to determine exactly how far along I am. I can’t relax. I’m always checking myself when I use to loo. Wiping to see if there is any pink discharge or signs of a miscarriage. This is horrible. I just really want to relax and enjoy. But I can’t. Always over analysing things and what it might mean.

Hey!
Me and my partner have been trying to conceive and currently in the two week wait! Feels like the longest ever 2 weeks! I have 5days until I am due on.
I’ve experienced quite a few symptoms (I hope it isn’t not my mind playing tricks on me)
Mild cramps and twinges (constantly) for about a week. My boobs are really hard and sore, and nipples are really sensitive! I’ve also had really awful back aches too.
They seem to come and go throughout the day. One moment I feel absolutely fine and the best I feel everything.
I’ve done 1 test and came back negative although I know it is too early to tell.

Anyone else had these and been successful and got their BFP?? X

Jmr95 I took a test at 10dpo & 11 and was meh. Then faintest Line at 13 and it progressed from there. I’m 5 weeks 4 days. A lot of women test early & get a neg. also boobs were my first symptom, not painful just rock hard and so heavy 😂 good luck !!!! Perriegrey - I had a mmc last year & im also terrified. Anxious person anyway ! Literally all you can do is not panic. I didn’t get any morning sickness last time just mild nausea but I know a lot of women that don’t get any. Just remember that each one of us is different and our symptoms and body’s will differ. I would also recommend (and this is something I’m trying to put into Practice) not googling everything or spending hours searching. It does not help just worries you further! Good luck I really hope we get our rainbows 🌈❤️ Xx
