Dark Brown Discharge

I'm 12 + 1, and this morning realized I had some dark brown discharge - not bright red but more like dried blood color. I had vaguely strong cramping yesterday for a short while and some light cramping this morning, but that's all.

Has anyone else had this and their baby's been okay? Really scared.

Yes I had this between weeks 6-10 or so. A few incidents of bright red blood too. I went to the EPU for a check and all was well. If you’re worried, do give your gp a call for a referral.

Sorry, I'm not on the pregnancy board but just saw this in 'active'. I had this at around 8 weeks I think and it was fine. Very common, I think. I didn't know it was common so I panicked and my GP booked me a scan after I sat there crying . All fine and dandy and I now have a one year old napping upstairs.

See about getting a scan if you're really panicking - but it does happen.

I had this and quite a bit of bright red blood too. I always found the doctors and early pregnancy units very reassuring. They scanned me every time without issues. If you’re worried call your midwife - when I had bright red blood I was told to go to A&E where I was whisked up for a scan before DH could park the car!
Everything was fine...I just had a cyst and a small blood clot that was being forced out due to the baby growing.
