Painful bloating/stomach feels distended

Any tips on reducing this? As soon as I eat something (anything!), it begins. And gets worse throughout the day.

I had it badly with DC1, and up until recently (I'm now 22wks) I've found ginger supplements have been helping with DC2. I'm drinking plenty of water, getting plenty of fibre, drinking peppermint tea, drinking a glass of water with lemon first thing. Anything else I can do/try?

At best it's very uncomfortable, worst it's painful and means I can't be on my feet too long. My SPD/back pain isn't helping the situation Sad

Have you tried activated charcoal tablets? They helped me sometimes with the bloating.

Any chance you could have a gluten sensitivity?

Developed that in pregnancy one and it went away but the bloating and wind was horrific.

If you weren't pregnant I would suggest Buscopan but it's advised NOT to be used in pregnancy.

Activated charcoal or Bisodol works well

I don't really have wind, it's just the bloating.

A gluten intolerance is interesting, although it does seem to come from eating anything. I'll try and pay more attention now you've mentioned it.

I've never tried activated charcoal though so will definitely give that a go! Thank you everyone x

Do you just take them as and when you get the bloating? Because I've read that you shouldn't take them every day (even though the bottle I have them in say 2 a day) because they can cause constipation etc?
